Each Dodge Charger model features a powerful engine with increasingly impressive specs for higher horsepower and faster 0-60 mph times. Each step up also brings additional performance features, like suspension, brakes, launch assist, and other upgrades. The following engine options breakdown helps differentiate the Dodge Charger trims.

3.6L Pentastar® V6

The SXT AWD is the only four-door muscle car on the market with all-wheel drive, making it a smart choice for drivers of Cincinnati, OH. With front axle disconnect, this advanced AWD allows your Dodge Charger to put power where you need it most. Meanwhile, the RWD models, which constitute the rest of the Charger lineup, provide traction and control with a nearly perfectly balanced front/rear weight distribution.

Additionally, the GT comes with a five-link rear sport performance suspension. This full system includes springs, sway bars, and Bilstein high-performance shocks. The GT is also lowered for a sportier drive and is the first in the lineup to include a performance hood scoop that collects air for greater cooling.

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is available on the SXT, the SXT AWD, and the GT.

The V6 provides 292 horsepower on the SXT RWD and 300 horsepower on the GT and SXT AWD. With rear-wheel drive on the SXT, you'll get 260 lb-ft of torque, while the all-wheel-drive SXT and the GT provide 264 lb-ft.

Every model with the V6 engine comes with TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. These models all use regular unleaded gas for extra savings at the pump.

When we say supercharged engine, we mean it-the Hellcat hits speeds up to 204 mph and is competitive on any racetrack. Available only on the SRT Hellcat trim, this potent combination of engine and performance features makes the Hellcat the most powerful five-seat production car ever made.

The Hellcat comes with adaptive competitive suspension, the Dodge Charger lineup's highest grade of suspension. The three-mode active damping gives the option of auto, sport, or track modes. Auto mode provides the best balance for everyday driving.

Sport provides moderate firmness, while track mode provides the stiffness that allows more accurate handling on the track.

Alongside this increased power, the Hellcat needs ultimate braking power, hence the addition of the top-of-the-line six-piston Brembo ultra high-performance brakes. Choose between black, red, gunmetal, or orange calipers to stylishly show off your Hellcat's racing performance.

Despite its beefy performance, the Hellcat still gets good gas mileage for its class at 13 city / 22 highway on premium unleaded gas.
